What is Flarin?

Flarin is a unique ibuprofen (a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that is used to relieve pain, fever, and inflammation) that claims helps to stop pain, relieve swelling and ease stiffness of the joints. This over the counter medicine claims to be as effective as prescription strength ibuprofen.

It can take up to 30 minutes after taking a tablet or syrup for the effect to be felt. Do not give your child any other medicines that contain paracetamol. These include certain cough and cold medicines. Check every product’s leaflet and ingredients carefully to ensure they do not contain paracetamol.

Experience With Flarin

Ordered for my grandmother as she has complained a lot about joint pains. She says it works not for deep pain but average amount of pain. I use it for back pain, headaches and some other joint pains.

It did work for me. But be sure to consult your Doctor before taking any pain or anti-inflammatory drugs to check for allergies and other prescriptions to consider.

Does Flarin Help With Pain And Swelling?

It does help with pain and swelling but make sure you involve your doctor for guidance. Flarin might help you if you’re finding it difficult to walk and haven’t responded to support bandages or other painkillers. Because it is an anti-inflammatory, it is effective in reducing the inflammation that may be causing discomfort.

Flarin has been clinically proven to be as effective as 2400mg ibuprofen which is twice the standard dose at reducing joint pain.

How To Use

  1. Initially take 1 or 2 capsules with water.
  2. Then take 1 or 2 capsules up to 3 times daily as required

Cons: Critics

The side effects associated with this pain medicine may include; nausea, stomach pain, vomiting (may be blood streaked), headache, ringing in the ears, confusion and shaky eye movement.

It cannot be taken with Paracetamol.


 If any of the side effects gets serious, please tell your doctor or pharmacist. Medicines such as Flarin 200 mg Soft Capsules may be associated with a small increased risk of heart attack (myocardial infarction) or stroke.
